So over packing!!!!

I think I'm getting there, but I can still see stuff wherever I look. Only two more full days to pack before our scheduled departure date on Friday! We are leaving so much up in the air and wont be able to get tenants in the house until we find a place in Townsville, which we haven't done yet! WE are booked into the caravan park so will have a beach side holiday while we are house hunting. I need that! It's so tiring and draining. I've done it so many times before, but each time after kids, it gets harder. And then we had Christmas and Jack's birthday right in the middle of it all, so there's more stuff to pack....I will be so glad to just get there now!!!!
I can't beleive it's been a month since my last post and it will probably be that again before I get back on line, so Happy New Year everyone!!!!!
My photos this post are of my little darlings with their presents. Taylah got a new bike from Santa, and Jack is sitting on his bed with his new birthday presents, sunnies, t-shirt, truck and blocks!(Loving himself sick!!!)
The layouts are from my photo shoot at Christmas with the kids and my besties, who I am going to miss while we are away! (We got together tonight for some much needed wine, cocktails and laughs!)

Well, it's been too long since my last post, but so much happening here! We've had our week in Townsville! The kids were great in the car for the 5 hr trip. jack slept most of the way and Taylah was not a problem. They watched a movie or two on the DVD player which helped! It was great to spend the week with Dave and have that family connection again! We really enjoyed ourselves. I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning of the week in regards to finding a school and decent area to live, but by the end of the week with Dave off from work, we drove around and had it all sorted! Taylah is booked in to a lovely little school which is only a stone's throw from the Strand and probable living areas. She felt better once we had walked around and visited class rooms and talked to the administrator, I breathed a sigh of relief to have at least accomplished that much. We did check out a few rental apartments and happy that we will have a fair bit to choose from at this time of year!
There is so much to do there, we thought it was a really fun, family centred place, they have put alot of money into the town and it's more than impressive. So we are looking forward to our move now for an exciting change! Coming home was lonely and we still have 2 more weeks before Dave comes home for Jack's birthday party and then he will be home for the holidays and it will be action stations over xmas to get the house packed up. Ideally we want to be down there in the first week of January!
Other news, Taylah is still not well and her specialist now wants to do a 2nd operation and remove her tonsils, put grommets in her ears and quarterize her nostrils! I have been silently fuming over it, as she only had the adenoids removed in Sept! I am still not convinced she needs her tonsils out and have decided to put it on hold until we get to Townsville! Her ears are the main worry at the moment so hopefully a couple of months wont hurt. Poor little thing, we are so over it all!
Photos from Townsville the kids having fun at the Water playground on the Strand!
Layout was one I finished a few weeks ago!

Moving!!!

Hey all, well I'm alittle behind in Posts, but that's just because there's too much going on ! We have had to make the desicion to move to Townsville in the new Year to be with Dave. Apart from the fact it's all getting abit too hard without him here, his company have now offered packages to relocate us, until the end of July next year, which will see the end of his current project. Then, it will be a matter of being where the work is, so if there's still no building going on in Port, then we will stay a bit longer! So many families in Port douglas are going through the same thing as us, dave said the plane back to Townsville on Monday was like being on a job site, full of labourers with work boots going here there and everywhere for work! We are thankful that Dave has work and also of his promotion which occurred just before 18 men were put off from his company!!! So I am taking this opportunity to think of this as anew adventure, a big holiday! I think Taylah will be fine at school she makes friends easily and there is apparantely alot of fun things to do for the kids, which alas, Port Douglas does not have! Who knows, we may just love it down there and It's only a 5 hour drive back to port if we don't!

I have a few links here to my Tasmania pics on facebook if anyone's interested!!!

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=55268&l=7bceb&id=519111594http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=56127&l=40532&id=519111594http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=56135&l=05343&id=519111594 So in the mean time, I need to sort out birthday parties, dance concerts, Xmas and then I will be frantically packing the house to move early in the new year! We are going to rent our home out, so if anyone know's anyone that wants to rent a nice house in Port Douglas with a pool and no neighbours, let me know!!!

This post I will leave you with some fun pics I took of Jack and his little playmates at the park the other week! I love these!!!

So much going on!!!

Well, it really has been a busy two weeks! Dave has come home and gone again, I have had Weddings and Portraits to shoot and I attended a Scrapping Retreat in Cairns yesterday with 2 classes by the talented NGAIRE BARTLAM. That was such a highlight for me, I will post one of the creations I made in Ngaire's classroom! It was fantastic, refreshing and great to learn a few new techniques! The girls at Paper Possibilities were fab, I had such a good day! So Dave had the kids all day! On Saturday, we went to a kids pool party and then I left him with the kids again while I went to do a Wedding! I feel like him and I hardly saw each other, but It was a well needed break for me away from the kids! I totally enjoyed working after having about a 5 week break since my last job. The portrait shoot I did today was of a group of 5 lady friends who have known each other for over 30 years and have come to PD for a holiday and get together. I had such a fun time with them! I made sure they had champagne for the occasion to get them nice and relaxed and then I fired away! They had a great room full of light so we did most of the shots inside!!
Taylah went back to the docs last week and we had her allergy tested to find out she is allergic to dust mites! She has the same symptoms as before her operation and it really makes me wonder whether the op was needed at all, but I will have to stop doing my head in about that, we can't change it now! So we bought a new pillow and I've stripped her room of all the soft toys and pillows and down to the bare minimum! I will have to get the floor rugs cleaned when I get some spare money! At least we know and can work on that now!!

Busy, and tired!!!

Well Our lives don't get any less busy! We are driving over to Mossman 3 afternoons a week for swimming and dancing lessons! I guess it does make the time go a little faster towards the weekends when Dad comes home! He wont be home this weekend though seo it will be a test! I'm having some girlfriends over this weekend with their kids for a swim and some dinner, so that should break up the monotony! The nights are the hardest, I don't mind having the house to myself once the kids are asleep , I always find something to do, but when I am in bed, i just don't seem to be able to get a good block of sleep. I swear every time the kids roll over, I sit up and to make things worse, I really don't think Taylah has improved that much since her operation! She is still snoring and seems to have trouble breathing at nights, she is still so nasally with her speech!. I will go and ring the doctors now I think, I'm not happy!!
Jack's been playing up a bit, that's hard at nights, but overall, we are coping ok! I know Dave is not finding it much fun down there without us, I feel for him too. It will be a relief either way, once we know how permanent this job is going to be, then we can make a decision on whether we have to move or not! I don't want to but we probably wont have a choice! Anyway, creating is keeping me going and Im almost finished my friends BABY album for her new bub. I just can't wait to give it to her!
I am going to post a few layouts from the challenges at LSBS, www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au on the weekend for their Cybercrop. I did my first digi in ages, about Jake the doll and Jack! There's also a Black and orange layout, which I loved as I am a big fan of these colours!!! The last one is of Taylah and her swimming with a hand-stitched frame which took me ages, but I am please with the result!!!! There's also a gorgeous layout that my little man did and he is chuffed with!!!

Another layout!

Wow, I'm on fire this week, maybe it's because I have the nights to myself, once the kidlets finally go to sleep that is. This layout just came about because I was thinking about Xmas and I had made a pact with myself to scrap last years family photo shoot pics before this xmas. This is the 2nd 2007 xmas layout I've accomplished and we used these pics on our xmas cards last year~! Pretty happy with this one, I wanted to steer away from the traditional xmas colours, think I managed that ok!!!!
Now it's off to finish a mini book for my friend's new born which I keep going back to. Can't wait until it's done and I can start on my sister's mini book which is supposed to be for her birthday which was last month! Why can't I get anything done on time anymore??????!!!!
I just had my haircut this morning, went for a new look! Not too impressed by how much it cost me though.Lucky I don't treat myself very often, you can't at these prices!!!

Missing Daddy!!!

Well we are nearly at the end of our 2nd week with Dave away in Townsville and it's starting to sink in. Taylah hasn't said much at all, she's back at school and probably into her normal routine, but Jack is starting to feel it!! I am definatley starting to feel it and not looking forward to the long haul! I hate the nights! I've got the kids in my room now so we can all try and get a better sleep! Jack is very unsettled and Taylah sleeps ok.
He will be home this weekend, but not next weekend, so that will be a real test, two whole weeks without seeing him! We are starting to worry that it will be a longer stint that the original stated 10 weeks, who knows what is ahead, but we are thankful that he has work at least!
Jack is being naughty tonight and has just been sent to his own room, not happy but I had to do something!
My layout this post is one I scrap-lifted from the talented Belinda Venables, (see my blog list to the left). I just couldn't resist using the pretty free paper and fonts from SBM's vol 10, no.6. Belinda's layout is on page 123. I have only ever scrap-lifted 2 or 3 layouts before and I just fell in love with this one, it really inspired me, thanks Belinda! The other layout I have just added is one I did for a Cybercrop for the Little Scrapbook shop www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au
just before Dave went away! I won a prize for this one too!!!!

Home sweet home!!!

Well I arrived safely back from Launceston yesterday luch time, very tired a very early start, but glad to be back! It was cold and wet, but I was determined not to let any negatives ruin my time and had an absolutley fantastic time! I met some awesome people and new friends, I gained so much from the lectures and took around 1000 images of which now I have to sort through and put some sort of slideshow together. I had a wonderful welcome at the airport by Taylah and Jack and Dave, I was so overwhelmed by emotion when I saw them, it was huge, and I couldn't stop looking at my two little brown berries who have been swimming in the pool everyday while I was away with layer upon layer of clothing on!!! They are gorgeous and apparantely behaved like angels for Daddy, Nanna and Grandad while I was away!
I've just returned to some great emails and nice surprises when I discovered I had won Tash Allen's OTP challenge http://tashallen.typepad.com/ , with this little something I made for Dave to take to Townsville with him!!!! Very happy indeed!!! :)

Happy, Sad and tired

Well it's been such an emotional and tiring week here! Taylah had her op last Thursday and yes it was hard, and yes I did cry when she went under, she faught like a little trouper on the operating table. She came out of the anaesthetic really well, quiet as a mouse a few silent tears and then slept for an hour and woke up asking:" when do we go home?" She got up and ate straight away and has really been fine. She has had good days and bad days with the stuffiness and snoring, but they say it takes about 3 weeks to recover and notice the change. I can't wait for that day cause at the moment she doesn't sound any better and you start wondering! Thanks you everyone who have left messages on my blog for your words of encouragement, it's nice to hear your comments. And always nice to know that others have been there.
Dave has been away on a camping trip since last Saturday and we are on the count down now until he comes home. I hate the nights, and haven't been getting a wink of sleep. My two little angels have been bunking in with me and Taylah is so restless in her sleep, all over the place. Jack wakes up too early even after a late night, it's testing. Really I am just feeling sorry for myself at the moment because it's only a taste of things to come as in few weeks, Dave will be going to Townsville to work and will only come home on weekends. NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT AT ALL. If Taylah wasn't in school, we would all go, but we will just play it by ear until Xmas if it's any longer,we'll sort something out. On a good note, I have some wonderful new neighbours who have been just wonderful while he's been away. Taylah is in school with one of their boys and they are such a lovely family!
Now I will go and find something I have created to leave with this post! Bye,

Taylah!!

Well we finally had the ENT appt. for my little girl and she is booked in to hospital on the 2nd Sept. to have her adenoids removed! I was a little emotional yesterday, just thinking about your little one going under anaesthetic is huge for a Mum, but in her case, I know there is no other option and she has been suffering now for 8 months! I look forward to her having alot better quality sleeping and using less tissues in the tissue box every day! She know no different, but I have a feeling she will be alot brighter after it's all done!
Jack is fine and getting quite a bit of attitude for a little man, he gets cuter by the minute though and makes me laugh! He has this thing about my hair, ever since he was feeding as a baby with a bottle, he would have to grab my hair. He still does it, as soon as he gets any kind of drink in his mouth, he reaches for my hair! It's so extreme that he will seek me out at the other end of the house and even says Mummy I need your hair! It sounds cute and funny, (which it is!) But being on the receiving end can sometimes drive me crazy~ Gotta love their little habits.
I will leave a few layout images from Little Scrapbook shop's recent cybercrop (www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au)and a cute little pic of the kids with TILLY the turtle who came home with us on a visit from Taylah's class with a little book we got to write in and put photos in of her visit with us! Each child in the class gets to take her home for a few days! Tilly got to come camping with us!

Another lost tooth!!!

Taylah's 2nd tooth fell out in the middle of the night last night, I thought she was dreaming!!! God the poor tooth fairy will be broke at this rate!!
No visitors this week, somehow I have to find time to clean the house among all the appointments we have and try and catch up on all my Photography post production work!
It's a busy life! All is well!!
My layout this post is of my girl with her gorgeous toothless smile! (After tooth no. 1 came out!!!)

Little Sister

Well today is Rachel's last day, she has been here since Saturday, from London, via Adelaide! The weather has been great and we've just been relaxing! She's had some swimming and Jack went in with her today! We are off to have prawns and a few wines down at Rex Smeal Park and enjoy the weather and watch the boats come in. Dave's just walked past with the fishing rods, so we are in for a lovely arvo!!!! We are off to pick up Taylah from school now!
No scrapping due to visitors, but my layout here is of a blind scrapping challenge I did last week with Scrap Therapy!!! www.scraptherapy.com.au

Back from a 4-day camping trip

What a great time away we had, camping with the family at Cape Kimberley, only about 40 min drive from home, but could be a world away! It was so peaceful and the weather was awesome. We had borrowed a tinny from someone Dave knows and took the kids out on the calmest waters over to Snapper Island and they both caught their first fish! We saw loads of wildlife, had fun on the beach, the kids had their first campfire and we loved those toasted marshmallows!! On the way home to top it all off, Taylah lost her first tooth and was so excited about the imminent arrival of the tooth fairy. (Which may I say is quite a generous one, different to the 10c/20c coin I received as a kid!)
She received a whopping $4.00, but we were told a first tooth was special so she knows to only expect half that when the next one falls out!!!!!
My layout this post is of Taylah's very special little toy!!!
I've just had another layout accepted for publishing and am stoked!!!Off to pack it up now!

Houseclean overhaul!!!

One of my best buddies left today to go back home to Adelaide with her 9 yr old daughter, Charli in tow! It was all so quick as we dropped them and their bags off and drove away after a quick few hugs and kisses, off to buy a new washing machine!!They were here with us for 8 days and it was great. All the kids got on well, no fuss, low maintenance guests, it was a little like having Mum around, someone so familiar who helps with housework and cooking and even a little child dicipline when necessary! I'm going to miss them, the house is quiet tonight as DS and DD are both sound asleep DH is out and wow, it really is QUIET! So no scrapping this week, I even had to forgo my Masters entry as I knew I would just miss the deadline! So close and a little disappointing, but there's always next year and I'll have learned alot more by then!!!!!
My layout this post is one I did for a LSBS cybercrop, for an inspiration challenge. I took my inspiration from the colours and swirls and flowers of the image provided and this is one of my all time fave photos of Taylah. My hubbie took this pic and I think it's awesome. I did a little zooming and tweaking in photoshop. I seem to be really loving bright colours at present!!! (Have removed layout as it's off to be published in SBM magazine, stay tuned!!!)

I've been tagged!!

So here are the rules of the game:
Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post the player then tags 4 people and posts their names with links to their blog, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know that they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answers.

Question 1: Ten years ago: I was in and out of hospital rooms/beds, doctors, specialists and traipsing all over the country side to find one person to tell me I didn't have to have a hysterectomy because I had cervical cancer.(Thankfully my story had a happy ending!)

Question #2: Five things on today’s “to do list”: Spend time with the kids, scrapping, dishes, ironing and Wedding photography.

Question 3: Snacks I enjoy: Chocolate, cashews, chocolate coated nuts, and all I can think of is more chocolate.

Question #4: Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Tell my hubby to quit work, (as long as it was millions!), fly all of my family to a wonderful holiday destination and stay in a huge chateau with many servants!, Take the hubby and kids on a driving holiday around Canada, buy the best lap top you can get, oh yeah and pay off the house, finish bits and pieces and buy a house in Adelaide for when we visit rellies!!! Oh yeah and I reckon I would buy the Cadbury chocolate factory!!! And definately give some money to charity!!

Question #5: Places I have lived: Adelaide, (several suburbs), In a 32ft Bedford Bus for a few years (while travelling the East Coast of Aus.) Cairns, Port Douglas,(In a caravan, unit and house!), Cork(Ireland).

From what I can see most people i would have picked have already been tagged, so I will leave it at that, happy reading if you visit!!!!

A quiet house!!

I've been out shooting a Wedding this arve and came home to a little man in tears, very tired and missing his mummy! Taylah was trying to talk 100 words a minute and tell me all the exciting things they'd been doing at the Aussie rules match, (home game at Port Douglas) today! I love coming home to my little family! They were very tired little babies and one tired hubby too who has just gone to bed at 9.15pm on a Saturday night????? Hmmm, what shall I do, shall I scrap, watch tv, have a cuppa??? Who cares, I will just enjoy the quiet!
The layout with this post was for my blind scrapping challenge over at Scrap Therapy.(Blind scrapping is not what it sounds, although, I know many like to partake in a few wines before they start!!!! We actuall get a step-by-step instruction on what you need for your layout and then where to place your papers, photos and elements on a page without seeing an actual sketch or picture. It was kinda fun, that was my first one, quite pleased with the result! It's amazing how everyone's layouts all look different!)

School holidays, colds and housework!!!

That's my agenda for today! Taylah is bored already! She's not feeling well though I don't think, she's just gone to lay down and I'm about to do my floors! Gosh I really hate meanial work! Plus we all have colds in this house and the dust is going to do wonders for that! Oh well, I will feel better when it's done.
We had a birthday party on a boat for Taylah's school friend on Monday and it was fine, we saw a few crocodiles and all the kids behaved so well. Jack ate so much party food!!! Yesterday we went over to the park and enjoyed the new play equipment, the days are really lovely at the moment! The nights are a little chilly again, but nothing we can't handle, I'd rather this than those southern winters!
I've left a digi layout here which I did recently, the first digi in ages. But the photo inspired me, and I love the bright funky colours!
Till next time :)

Family

I've been playing around with some pics as I'm printing off photos for my 2008 Scrapbooking Masters entry. (Spare of the moment thing, decided to enter! Lots of work and not much time!!!)Here is a pic of my family, the most recent one taken at Christmas in Adelaide! My brother and his wife and children, with myself, Dave and kids and my Mum and stepdad! It turned out not too bad with the self timer set on my little compact digi! I love how everyone is looking and smiling, and we don't get to capture these moments very often, we aren't all together very often! Just wanted to share.
Had a go at a blind scrapping challenge with the Scrap Therapy team: www.scraptherapy.com.au on Wednesday evening, quite pleased with my result. Challenges go up on Sunday, so will post my Layout then!
School holidays start today, so we will be busy in this house and trying to get out, we have birthday parties, new babies to visit and lots more!
Oh yeah, news of the day, My husband has just had his first promotion at work to Leading Hand and he is very happy. There are a few disadvantages, like more travelling and longer hours, but he's happy and I'm happy for him, he deserves it!!!!!

Late nights and busy days!!

I should be in bed, (I say that alot!) Trying to wind down after a big day doing Wedding Photos and then movie night with the kids who were full on tonight! Crawling all over me because they hadn't seen me since this morning! It's nice, but I was trying to breathe!!!
Last night I took them to Cairns to see a show:" Millie, Jack and the dancing cat". We have read the book a few times, and we don't often get to see shows, as it's such a big drive for them. Anyway, it was great and they really loved it! We went late night shopping afterwards and they were treated to junk food which they don't really like that much, but hey you get the toy with the happy meal!!!!! They were so good and stayed awake for the 1 hour trip home. It was 9.30pm and they were raring to go when we got in and saw Daddy!!! I am looking forward to a sleep in in the morning!
Last week I was busy evey night scrapping, I have so many ideas in my head and am jotting them down and drawing sketches, I can't keep up with myself at the moment. Just found out one of my girlfriends is coming to stay in July! Can't wait, she's in Adelaide, we grew up together! I have attatched my first A4 layout which was a challenge for the Aussiescrapjacked site: http://aussiescrapjack.blogspot.com/
I really enjoyed the smaller format and might try a few more!

Anxiety

I'm sitting here, it's nearly 1.00am, (Dave would kill me!), I just cannot go to bed/sleep. ,my body is so used to not going to bed early any more. I'm tired, but there is so much I want to do, but have had one of those days where nothing much was accomplished! My little man has been having some severe tantrems and the household has been a little shaken up this week!
We went to visit the natural therapies doc with Taylah today re: her adenoids. He has put her on a herb powder twice a day and told me to cut out milk products from her diet!! (Yeah right!) Anyway, if we at least cut down that will help he said, so we are trying to find her some relief until we see the specialist in Sept. If we make great progress, we wont even have to think about an operation! I don't want to go down that path with her if we can help it! Anyway have left a digi creation I just finished! I had to create something b4 going to bed, that's the issue now, I have to create something every day, which I think is fantastic, but my family, may beg to differ! At least they get to star in my creations!!!:) Have just discovered a new digi site called www.pickleberrypop.com

One for the blokes!!

Well, I should be in bed, but have just been surfing around on the net, checking out a Cybercrop at one of the scrapping sites and thought, I should share a layout I finished today. This one is for my hubby who has never taken centre stage on a layout before, so it was time. I used the Kaiser range of Grunge papers and it's funny, I was in a bit of a dark mood when I started it, so the papers fitted that mood. Up until then, I have been going some bright colours! I'm glad I got this one finished.
Kids were hyper tonight after a run around at the park, then a family movie, I thought they would never go to sleep. Dave's now snoring on the couch and I feel like scrapping but I think I better call it a night!

Tired!!

It's a drizzly day in Port today, more rain?? All I want to do is curl up and go to sleep, but too much to be done, it's my day off from the kids and I must get moving. Jack is not sleeping any better, it's really taking it's toll, something has to give sooner or later. Two kids now that haven't been good sleepers, must be in their genes, Dave's not a great sleeper!!!!!

Anyway, I plan to get a bit accomplished today. I've left a pic of my latest card set for one of the challenges at LSBS www.littlescrapbookshop.com.au
My parents have just booked their flights to come here in Sept. while I go off to Tassie for the Aust. Photog. Convention, the kids are so excited.

I've had a huge load of inspiration and ideas floating around in my head for scrapping layouts, I wish I had all the time in the world to sit down and get them done. I've been drawing my own sketches, so at least they're on paper. I'm loving paint at the moment.

Family are all ok apart from runny noses, looking forward to the long weekend this weekend for some quality family time, may go away depending on the weather.

Adenoids, cleaning & making money!

Have just finished cleaning the house, made easier by Dave taking the kids to the local footy.
A bit of a mixed title today but much to report on after yesterday!
Taylah's x-ray showed that she does have an enlarged adenoid which is leading to all the problems she's been having for the last 4 months. Trouble breathing, very stuffy, loads of mucus and a very nasally speech. We are going to see the ENT specialist who will discuss with us the option of Shaving the adenoids which is supposed to make it better for her long term. Hmm???
Jack has been a little bu---r this week, but I think he's been unwell, had a temp yesterday and we are also having those lovely 2 yr old tantrems.
On a more positive note, I have had a great week! I received my LSBS order in the mail, with a little present, then I received an order for 3 large photographic prints from my website, all sold sealed and delivered and a very happy customer! Then another little surprise arrived in the mail from a previous comp at the LSBS, very nice. The day before that, I received a phone call to say I had won a $50 gift voucher for IGA through a comp I entered. All my hard work at entering competitions everywhere is finally paying off! Very happy!!!
Now I would like to attatch a couple of pics of my gorgeus kids. The one of Taylah was actally a grab shot by my hubby on Mother's day and I have just discovered actions in Photoshop and had a play around with it! I reckon it looks awesome! Then the one of Jack is from a group of shots I took of him clowning around one day and I played around a little with this one aswell. Now just have to scrap them!

Friday, May 30, 2008

It's been over a week since my last blog, it flies so fast! I have just returned from Cairns, the 2nd trip in a week. It was easier today minus the kids and 2yr old tantrems! We have an appt. with the docs today for Taylah to discuss her xrays on her adenoids! I'm hoping it's not to much of a worry, but she's been having trouble for about 4 months now. Jack had a blood nose last night and it brought back memories of me as a kid, I had them all the time!
I've bee busy with wedding photography, so not alot of scrappng but many ideas going around in my head! Will leave something I dreamed up inspired by a tissue box last week! I used cut outs of actual photos of my frangipanis as embellishments for this page and loving the paint!!!! Till next time!!!!CYA

Cooling off in the Far North!!

I don't know about anyone else who live up this way, but the nights are sure getting cooler! Wish the kids would keep their blankets on, they have woken up with colds again!
LSBS had their May Cybercrop held over the weekend! I coudn't complete all the challenges, but happy with the ones I did! Really chuffed with trying the new 6 x 12" format for layouts and will continue filling the album we made with new pages of my kids' milestones! (There are so may, I want to record and they just keep coming!)Jack has a new bed, no more cot, so will do a LO for that, and in the same week, he has managed to give up the bottle!!!! (Milk bottle that is!) I told him now he has a big boy bed, he is a big boy and big boys don't have bottles, he didn't like the sound of it, but he has been a little trouper and only asked me for a bottle twice in 5 days! So there's another milestone!!!! Well will leave some of my challenges from the CC for you to check out! Happy days everyone!!! :)

Just wanted to share some pics of our beautiful little babies who must've arrived sometime during our weekend away and were there for us to enjoy when we got back. Over the last 10 days I have been photographing them quite a bit, I am standing with my foot in the front door and the camera lens poking out, tryng to be inconspicuous to the babies and the parent birds don't seem to mind,as I'm clicking away, I get a nice surprise when they fly into the shot to feed their young! It is truly amazing and a marvellous little part of nature right at my fingertips. The kids can watch them through the lounge window without scarig them.
I've also included a few of my latest scrapping projects, haven't had alot of time for much but glad to post something!!!:)

A little bit of everything
